IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.
WELLINGTON, this day,
The progress of plans throughout Xew Zealand to provide temporary accommodation to provide for events arising from the war and for the handling of any epidemic which may break out, were briefly reviewed by the Minister of Health, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, in an interview.
Many arrangements had been made already to cope with cases, he said. The Department of Health had been very active, and the utmost assistance was being received from hospital boards. Many offers had been received, and a number accepted, of accommodation for the duration of the war. Departmental officers had been investigating offers in all parts of the Dominion. He was convinced that arrangements could be made for dealing with all cases arising from a war emergency or epidemic—(Press Aesn.)
