LADDES* COMMITTEE MEETS YEAR'S WORK REVIEWED.

A year of much achievement reported by the chairman, Mrs. C. Webber,- at the annual meeting of the ladies' committee of the Navy League, Auckland branch. .Mre. .R. G. Coats, who was elected chairman in place of Mrs. Webber, who did not seek' re-election, said that the activities of the committee had so expanded that it was found necessary to have a larger room in which to work. The commitee had been fortunate in securing a suitable room in British Chambers, High Street, which would be officially opened on Friday. Mrs. Coats expressed appreciation - of the .valuable work rendered by Mrs. Webber, the retiring vice-chairman, Mrs. A. Eisdell Moore,;:and the retiring honorary secreitary, Mks M. Leah. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Chairman, Mra.'R. G. .Coats; vice-chairman, Mre. Alan Donald; jhon secretary, Mrs. P. J. Crump; comi mittee, Mesdames J. Alexander, J.
