LABOUR FUNCTION.

PRESENTATION MADE TO MJP. Labour interests in Auckland were widely represented at a smoke social held last evening by the Tramways' Union, when tribute was paid to Mr Peter Carr. M.P. Mr. Carr was an executive member, and president of the union for 13 years until elected as Parliamentary representative for Auckland City West. Members of the union presented Mr. Carr with a writing cabinet, and other presentations were made bv the committee and the union office staff. A programme of entertainment during the evening was contributed to bv Messrs. D. Black. G. Girvcn, J. Halford, H. Hill and A. Matthews.
