SUGGESTION TO IMPORT. Referring to the destruction of horses in England at the present time. Mr. G. W. Sanders, speaking at vestcrdav's annual meeting of members of the Auckland Racing Club, advocated the* purchase of some pood jumpers from Great Britain. He said this countrv had never been so short of steeplechasers. It should be a recommendation to the incoming committee to take the matter up, he added, by an approach to the Government or by giving; other clubs a lead by importing horses themselves.
