THE METROPOLE.

New entertainment ' features have proved their drawing quality at the Metropole's Saturday night dances, and factors in their success are the diversified musical programmer for modern and oldtime dancing by Lew Jones and his band.

The niaxina, valeta, polonaise and other old favourites vied with the fox trot and modern waltz, the music sustaining the requisite rhythm to the enjoyment of all dancers. An outstanding item that evoked hearty applause was Mr. Jones' interpretation of the pianoforte masterpiece, Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody."

Mies Joan Clinton entertainncd a large party of guests in celebration of her twentieth birthday, the orchestra playing special music for the occasion.
