JONES-GOVAN.

A very pretty wedding took place at the Church of St. Colurnba, Grey Lynn, on Saturday afternoon, when Lillian Maude, eldest daughter of Mr. anil Mrs. J. A. Govan, was married to Jack Xaylor, 3'oungest eon of Mr. and Mrs. h. Jones, of Grey Lynn. The Rev. Godfrey was the officiating minister.

The bride, who wae given away by her father, wore a charming bridal gown of embossed satin faccone. The gown was fut on princess linee and fell into soft folds to form an oval train caught with a sprig of orange blossom. A flowing embroidered tulle veil wae fastened to the head with a spray of flowers to match.

The bride wae attended by her sister Jean as bridesmaid, who wore a pretty gown of japonica pink satin taffeta with bustle and train effect, and Miss Dawn Madden, as flower girl, looking attractive in a japonica pink net frock. The bride and her attendants carried sheaths and bouquets to tone.

The bridegroom wae attended by Mr Alfred Pratt, of Whangarei.

After the ceremony a breakfast was attended by relatives and friende and in the evening a dance was held at which over a hundred gueste were present. Mrs. Govan received her guests wearing a gown of navy eatin plonto and navy toque and carried a golden shaded bouquet. Mrs. Jones wae wearing a gown of black cloque and hat to match and carried a pink bouquet.
