FIVE INJURED.
MOTOR CAR CAPSIZES. NONE SERIOUSLY HURT. Five persons were injured when the motor car in which they were travelling capsized after skidding in a watertable on the Pokeno-Paeroa highway at Maramarua yesterday. Those injured were:— Gilbert Dennis Morgan, a driver, aged 17, of 10, Windmill Road, Mount Eden, who suffered a fracture of the right arm; Miss Bluebelle Edith Fowler, shop assistant, aged 17, of 12, Pompallier \ Terrace, Ponsonby, severe abrasions to , the back; Mr. Austin Martinson, aged 23, of 23, Adams Street, Green Lane; . and Misses Elsie and Molly Drinnan, of , 12, Pompallier Terrace, Ponsonby, . bruises and shock. . Morgan, who was driving the car, and Miss Fowler, were admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Their condition is ( not serious. The other passengers were ' taken to their homes. i Passing motorists rendered help and * first aid was given by Mr. N. C. ' Davenport, main highways traffic ' inspector. Dr. A. T. Begg attended the < injured before the arrival of a St. John < ambulance. The car was extensively < damaged. ]
