DRAMA FESTIVAL.
SEMI-FINALS TO-NIGHT.
The drama festival was continued in the concert chamber of the Town Hall last evening when the bust three ot" ten pkivs entered lor the Auckland section of the national festival of community drama sponsored by the national Centennial music committee were presented. The adjudicator, Miss Margaret Barr, selected two plays presented on previous nights. To-night they will contest the provincial .semi-final with the two selected from tlie Wnikato competition. The winning play will later go to Wellington for the national finals. The plays chosen by Miss Ban- to take part in to-night's semifinal -wore "Riders To The Sea,'' by J M Synge, played by the W.K.A. Dramatic flub, and "Sordid Story."' bv ,T. A S Coppard, played by the Auckland Repertory Theatre's cast. Muriel and Sydney Box's "Anti-Clock-wise." presented by the Sheridan Plavers: Dorothy Macardlc's "Witch Brew." plaved by the Northland Players; and J. M Barrio's "Half An Hour," acted bv the Grafton Shakespeare and Dramatic-' Club, were the plays presented last night.
