KING'S COLLEGE.
OLD BOYS' KEUNION. About 60 members, many of tliein in uniform, attended the 40th annual reunion of the King's College Old Boys' Association, which was followed by a emoke concert in the King's School, Remuera, last night. Among the guests were Bishop Simkin, Mr. H. B. Lusk, acting-headmaster of King's College, and Mr. J. K. Morris, headmaster of King's School. Mr. D. Ballantyne represented Prince Alfred College, and the Grammar schools' representatives were Messrs. T. C. Webb (Auckland), I). Sumner (Mount Albert) and J. S. Jones (Takapuna). Mr. B. H. Kingston, the president, said that the foundation membership account disclosed a sum of £932. The appeal for funds for a memorial to the late Mr. Charles Major, former headmaster of the school, had been postponed on account of the war. To all old boys serving with the forces overseas a letter of good wishes would be sent. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. J. A. B. Ilellabv; vicepresidents, Dr. Selwyn Morris and Mr. R. P. Towle; committee, Messrs J P Buddie, Kwen Donald. J. H. Jackson] T. M. T. Jackson, C. Leigh ton and J. ]'. Upton; secretary-treasurer. Mr. Rolf Porter; auditor, Mr. Howard .Johnson. At the smoke concert which followed the meeting numerous toasts were honoured and an excellent programme of musical and conjuring items was provided. The speakers included Bishop Simkin, Lieutenant-Colonel T. H. Dawson, and Messrs. Lusk. Morris! Kingston, W. M. Milliken, T. C. Webb and C. T. Keegan. At the college, Middlemore. to-morrow morning, a chapel service will be held. followed by a dinner.
