The New Zealand Minister of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, who has been engaged in negotiations in Melbourne, left for Sydney last night accompanied by the Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. R. G. Menzies. Before leaving Mr. Sullivan said he was uncertain whether his mission would be completed, until he had had a further meeting with Mr. Menzies in Sydney. '*1 hope to get completed manufactured' materials from Australia, but I do not appear to be getting them to the extent I had hoped," he said. "I am getting material that will have to be completed in New Zealand, which will have to get on its toes. To whatever extent Australia can help ehe is helping." Tho Federal Labour Opposition leader. Mr. J. Curtin, yesterday asked Mr. Menzies to call a secret session of Parliament. Mr. Menzicfe has not commented upon the request.
