QUEEN CARNIVAL.
CORONATION CEREMONIES.
Spectacular scenes were again witnessed at the Town Hall last evening on the occasion of the third presentation' of the Queen Carnival coronation, and the crowning of the Queen of the South, Mrs. Gordon Matthews. There was a large attendance, and a concert program me was given by prominent artists. Features of the programme were an item by Miss Kathleen Boyle and her company, a military ensemb'e by Miss Patricia Boyle and assisting artists, and contributions by Mesdames M. Owers, K. Farrell, Mise K. Christie, and Messrs. G. Fagan and A. McEhvain. To-morrow afternoon, at the Town Hall, there will be a special matinee presentation of the full coronation ceremony and a concert.
Contribution to Funds. Over £30 has been contributed by members»o-f the Gresk community in Auckland to the Sick and Woumled Fund, the" money being handsd to the Rev. A. Russell Allerton, riear of St. Thomas' Church. A second donation, amounting to COS, has been made by the Post ind Telegraph staff to the Auckland Provincial Patriotic Fund, bringing the total tf> date to £125.
