LEGISLATION SOON.
COMPULSORY LOAN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. "Legislation implementing tlie proposals outlined in the Budget will be brought clown as eoon as possible," said the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, in an interview to-night, when asked concerning tho proposal to introduce a compulsory lonn for war purposes. Mr. Nash paid that the gmonnt of the loan had not been decided ye : t. Full details would be issued in a prospectus so that the public; could study the proposals. A date would be fixed for the las/ day on which voluntary loan contributions might be made.
