The lions. J. Alexander and B. C. Bobbins, M.L.C.'s, arrived from Wellington by train that morning. Mr. H. E. Worsp arrived from Wellington this morning after attending a meeting of the Meat Board. Mr. C. L. MacDiarmid has been reelected chairman of the Hamilton High School Board of Governors for the 21et term. Mr. Albert Edward Glover, of Devonport, who was for many years a member of Parliament for Auckland, City, celebrated hie Diet birthday yesterday. The Hon. Mr. Justice Blair, who has been conducting the business of the Supreme Court in Auckland, returned to Wellington by the afternoon express to-day. • Mr. P. M. Wilson was yesterday admitted by the Hon. Mr. Justice Blair as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court, on the motion of Mr. W. H. Wilson. The lit. Hon. J. G. Coatee, the Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata, and Messrs. A. G. Osborne, A. S. Richards, F. W. Doidge, W. S. Gnosman, P. K. Paikea and A. F. Moncur, M.P.'s, were passengers from Wellington on the Limited express this morning. Mr. F. G. Farrell,' president of the Auckland Automobile Association, and Mr. A. Grayson, a member of the council, will travel to Wellington on Sunday night to attend a meeting of the executive of the North Island Motor Union. Mr. G. W. Hutchison, secretary of the association, who is also attending the meeting, wall leave for Wellington on Monday. i Mr. F. W. Bevin, who for over 12 years has been manager of the Bank of New Zealand at To Awaanutu, has received notification of his to Picton, Marlborough, as manager there. It is understood his successor at Te Awamutu is Mr. S. H. Wanklyn, manager nt Pukekohe. Mr. Bevin, during his residence in Te Awamutu, baa actively identified himself with many public institutions, and was president of the Chamber of Commerce for two years.
