PONSONBY REUNION.
SCHOOL CELEBRATIONS.
Favoured by perfect weather, the jubilee celebrations of the Ponsonby School were continued to-day, when, in the grounds of the school in Curran Street, Children's Day was held. Present pupils were the guests of old scholars, and a large crowd attended. The pupils during the afternoon entertained with displays and sports, and a short address on behalf of those now at the school was made by Dawn Ward. Hundreds gathered at the school last night for the first ceremonies. Expupils split up into decades for personal reminiscence after the ringing of the school bell by Mr. J. Kasper. a pupil of 1573. To-morrow night a reunion in the school grounds in the afternoon will be followed by a banquet, and on Sunday Divine service will be held in the school grounds.
