THEFTS ADMITTED.
MILKMAN IN COURT. SENTENCED TO HARD LABOUR. Described as a milkman, William Robert Foster, aged 38, appeared in the Police Court before Mr. P. H. Levien, S.M., this morning, charged with stealing £5 from the dwelling of Elizabeth Caroline fiillard, at Taupaki, on June 8. an.d with stealing on the same date 14/ belonging to John W. Hall. There was a further charge of breaking and entering by day on April 28, the dwelling of John Murphy and stealing £3 10/ in money. Foster admitted all three charges. On the summary charge of theft of 14/ he was sentenced to seven days' imprisonment with hard labour, and' on the other two indictable counts he was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
