RESISTANCE WEAKENS French General And Many Troops Stated Captured. ADVANCE TO THE SOUTH. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Received noon.) LONDON, June 20. The Berlin High Command communique states: "We captured Brest and reached the Lower Soire from Nantes to Tours, and at various places. "The pursuit continues in the middle Loire, over the Cher sector and towards Bourges. Our fighters continuously attacked the retreating enemy. "South of the Loire remnants of the beaten French Eastern Army from northern Lorraine are being pressed more and more in the Mosel region between Epinal and Toul. also in the middle and part of the upper Vosges. "Epinal, Toul and Luneville have fallen into our hands. The struggle continues on both sides of Diedenhofen, in the Maginot Line, which has again been breached. "West of Peissemburg dive-bombers and fighters destroyed a large part of the fortifications. "We captured Strasburg. and the German war flag flies over the cathedral. Troops from Belfort joined those from the upper Rhine at Burgundy. "We took 200,000 prisoners yesterday, including General Altmeyer, Comman-der-in-Oiief of the French 10th Army, and his Chief of Staff." The Berlin radio announced that the Germans occupied Badenweiler, in Lorraine. A Berne official message savs that 10,000 Polish and 12,000 French'soldiers entered Switzerland last night. It is estimated that 40.000 Allied soldiers are interned in Switzerland. Swiss civilians are i co-operating with Swiss troops in feeding the refugees.
