(By Tclesraa)li —Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The appointment by the Commonwealth of Australia of Mr. E. G. Casey as Minister Plenipotentiary to the United States was mentioned in the Honso of Representatives yesterday by Mr. J. A. Lee (Democratic Labour, Grey Lynn) on behalf of Mr. W. E. Barnard (Democratic Labour, Napier). He asked ifrho Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, whether, in view of the many interests common to the United States and New Zealand, the Government had considered the question of appointing to Washington a Minister or Commissioner injt represent the Dominion, and if sa-ffliitJt decision had been made? "The matter has receivedl'fche attention of the Government,'' said the Prime Minister, in reply. "Action is wider consideration, particularly in respect to the present situation."
