CHARGES OF THEFT.

THREE OFFENCES ADMITTED. SENTENCE OF 18 MONTHS. Faced with three charges of theft involving £28 in money and a wristlet watch and wallet valued at £9, Herbert Stanley Walton pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning before Mr. .C. R. Orr Walker, S.M. The offences occurred at Eltham and Mangere. Detective-Sergeant McHugh said accused had a long list dating back to 1922. The magistrate imposed a sentence of 18 months' reformative treatment.
