WAGES INCREASE.
CYCLE WORKERS' AWARD. A new award for the New Zealand Cycle Workers' Union has been made by the Arbitration Court, to take effect from April 29 for two years. It provides for matters of classification, hours and wages not settled in conciliation. In a memorandum, Mr. Justice Tyndall comments that the minimum wage for trained adult workers had been increased to 2/7} per hour restoring the 193S rate, which is 1M below the standard skilled rate of 2/9.
