AUCKLAND REVENUE. IMPROVEMENT IN APRIL LESS FROM SALES AND PETROL Customs revenue and the excise on beer in Auckland showed considerable increases last month, compared with] AjSril. 1939, but the proceeds from sales taxation ami motor spirit and tyre duties were lower. The excise 011 beer yielded A.10(i,0b7 for the four months, as compared with £(19.076 from January .0 the end of April in 1939.
