The California Rugby I'liion lias invited a combined Australian and New Zealand tea in t< > visit California early in 11)41. with a return visit in June of the same year. The proposal was submitted to the New South Wales Rugby I'nion by Mr. \V. Hesleliurst. a former Sydney referee, whose position takes him periodically to America. The New South Wales I'liioil has decided to ask for further details, but has informed Mr. Hesleliurst that the Australian team would not contemplate making the trip while the war is on. The Californian Universities sent a combined team to Australia and New Zealand in 1010 and it played an- 11-point draw with a strong Auckland side. The Australians returned the visit in 191- and the All Blacks in litis.
