IMPORT CONTROL LAWS.
ASPECTS DISCUSSED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. A conference of importing and allied interests was held in Wellington to-day to discuss and formulate questions affecting the import control regulations. It was decided to make representations to the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. Nash. A deputation consisting of delegates from the various importing associations and trade federations represented at the conference will wait on the Minister.
Mr. Gainor Jackson, of Auckland, president of the Bureau of Importers, presided at the conference, and with Mr. G. \Y. Guthrie, president of the New Zealand Importers" Federation, and Mr. E. A. Christie, president of the United Kingdom Manufacturers and New Zealand Representatives' Association, will act as spokesmen at the meeting with the Ministe
