MISS N. SMIL LIE'S ROUND OF 79 A competitor at the recent New Zealand autumn foursomes tourney at Maungakiekie who impressed by her play was Miss N. Smillie, of Palmerston North. According to E. J. Moss, the One Tree Hill professional, she

was the best shot-maker at the tournament, and has fine range from the tee. Yesterday Miss Smillie visited Middlemore, a course on which she had not previously played, and had a round of 79. The scratch score is 72 and as Miss Smillie plays off 7 ehe played to her handicap. She was out in 40 and home in 39, including a 6 at the fifteenth and a 7 at the seventeenth.
