MOUNT EDEN AFFAIRS.
Permit me as a larpc Mourrt Eden ratepayer to congratulate "Rescinded" on his letter. I am also a large ratepayer in Mount Albert and T can say definitely that my rates are 20 per cent lower in Mount Albert than my Mouni Eden rate*. Yes. the council chamberarc in a niQst inconvenient place and the proposal to spend £2000 on when building costs are at their very hijrhest is scandalous. We have mora ■blind roads in Mount Eden than ail* oilier lioroupli in New Zealand: then, if thi— £2000 i- burning their fingers, let them open up a couple of the worst of these blind roadt-. What we want i* a ratepayers' association and an economy ticket at the next election. That ticket would, of course, include the Mayor, Mr. Mills and Councillors Cowan. Hartnoll and Harrop. Tn the -meantime 1 hope others will take up the fight. RATEPAYER.
