AUCKLAND CITY CLUB.
SIMMONDS, CROCKER AND THOMPSON ARE CHAMPIONS.
The final championship shoot was completed by the club at 300 yards on Saturday, spoons in their respective grndes being won by J. H. Kearney, E. B. Crocker and H. O. Smith. C. J. M. Clark won the A grode tropliv, the B grade resulting in a tie between J. Seward, C. E. Bush and I. G. Campbell. H. O. Smith and T. Dilly will shoot off for the C grade trophy and the service championship will be finalised on Saturday. Placings for the season :— Club Championship.—H. Simmonds 537, A. W. Harris 530, C. J. M. Aft ? r threatening weather conditions improved sufficiently to allow members of the Cleyedon Dcfence Rifle Club to carry out their weekly shoot Inst Saturdav The targets were set for the 200 yds and 300vds ranges for the commencement of the club's No. t> trophy shoot. There was some close snooting, which made It necessary for three count-backs. With adjusted handicaps the silver spoon and Tisdall button went to G. Deerv on a count back from H. H. Munro. Four tropinpoints also went to G. Decry en a count back from H. H. Munro 3. C. Kimpton 2, L. H. Browne 1. Scores off rifle were: L. H. Browne, 48 47—05: A. K. Broderlck, 46. 46—92- h' G.
