EARLY FROST IN NORTH
(By Tele-graph.—Own Correspondent.) KAITAIA, this day. Paddocks white with frost and films of thin ice over standing wafer greeted residents of Fairburn, a settlement cast of Kaitaia, towards Mangonui, when they stirred this morning. According to old settlers who were questioned, this land, which is all lowlying and flat to gently undulating, has never had a frost on it so early ill the year.
