Operating revenue in the North Island was £558,.">88, which was £47,740 more than a year before. Expenses were £404,183," an increase of £41,337. Net earnings were £0403 more ot £104,400. In the South Island receipts were £292,708 and expen-ses £245,440, a .iecrease of £7831 and an increase of £2089 respectively. Net earnings decreased bv £9920 to £47.2t»2.
