CONSTABLE CHARGED.
NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED. ROAD ACCIDENT SEQUEL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An accident in Linwood Avenue on February 3 had a sequel in the Poli« Court to-day, when a police constable was charged with negligent driving, thereby causing bodily injury to a young woman. Accused was Constable Leonard Cook. The caee was opened so that evidence could be taken from Dr. Gilbert Murray, who is shortly leaving for the Chatham Islands. The case was then adjourned till April 26. r The doctor said the girl would not suffer any after effects. Accused had told him the car overturned.
