ASSOCIATED NEWSPAPERS. In announcing an interim dividend of 2 per cent on preference and ordinary shares for the half year ending March 31, the directors of Associated Xewapapers. Ltd.. report that, owing to 'inccrtainty in world condition.--, they propose to withhold payment of any further dividends until the trading figures for the full year to September 20 next are completed." They propose further that dining the war. and until such time as the directors determine, the practice of paying two interim dividends in April and August respectively and one final dividend in December in respect of each financial period, will be discontinued, and the practice substituted of considering payment of one interim dividend in June and a final in December. D.I.C. DIVIDEND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Stock Exchange Association has received advice that the Drapery and General Importing Company it New Zealand has decided to declare a lividend of 5 per cent per annum on its sreference shares, payable on and after May 1. GUARANTEE CORPORATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The New Zealand Guarantee Corporaion has decided on an interim dividend at >he rate of one penny per share, less the locia] security tax, for the half year ended February 29. It will be payable on April 9.
