Mr. Alan McElwain returned to Aackland from Wellington this morniag.

Mr. D. T. Xicholae, director of an Australian business firm, is a through passenger to Los Angeles by the Monterey.

Mr- W. A. Hislop. general manager in Xew Zealand for the Universal Film Manufacturing Company, will be a passenger on the Limited express to-night.

Tie Hon. W. E. Barnard. Speaker of the House, and Messrs. J. Robertson, S. G. Holland, W. E. Goosman and H. Atmore. M.P.'s. will be passengers for Wellington on the Limited express this evening , .

Mr. R. E. Price, port controller at Auckland, will leave Auckland for Wellington by the Limited expre.-s this evening to continue conference* with Government officials concerning various waterfront problems. The conferences were adjourned last week on account of the death of the late Prime Minister.

Mr. D. R. Grenfell. one of the loaders of the British Labour movement and M.P. of Swansea, left Auckland th : s morning by motor car for Hamilton, ile will later visit Wanpanui. Xapier, Wjurakei and Kotorua before returning to Auckland. Mr. Grenfell is represent ing the United Kingdom branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association at the Xew Zealand Centennial celebrations.
