IVORY LACE GOWN.

SHORT—MALLOY. Youthful freshness and charm was the keynote on Saturday at the marriage at St. Patrick's Cathedral of Maureen Mahala, only daughter of Mr. F. K. (Reg) Malloy and Maieie Malloy, of Ponsonliy, to Stanley Howard, young.T son of ihe late Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Short, of Onehunga. The bride, who was piven away by her uncle. Mr. Vincent Egan, wore a charming gown of ivorv lace over cream satin, cut on princess lines. The train, which flared from the slim-fitting hip-lino, Wiis trimmed with tiny velvet Unci's knots. Her beautiful" veil of tulle, which was heavily embossed with large satin flowers, was held in place by a double coronet of pearls end orange blossom. She carried a lovelv eheaf of lilies. The bridesmaids. Misses Shirley Aneeil (chief) and Fay Da vies, both nieces of the bridegroom, made a pretty picture as they attended the bride in their dainty frocks of pink ami blue spotted net, ornamented with tiny rosebuds, which toned with their headdress and bouquets. Little Xoe.line Hunt, cousin of the bride, completed tlie picture a* flower girl, her Early Victorian frock of pale blue spotted net over taffeta, being trimmed with tiny horseshoes of pink rosebuds. On her head she wore a Juliet cap of ribbon and rosebuds, which toned with her tiny posy.

The bridegroom was attended by Messrs. Cyril Millerchen as best man, and Sclwyn Rainbeau as groomsman. During the ceremony, which was performed bv Rev. Dr. Buxton, Gounod's beautiful "Ave Maria" was sung by Mies Bobs Lorigan, friend of the bride.

The bride's mother looked charming us she received her guests later on at the Rose Garden, St. Stephen's Avenue, in her model gown of blue shell crepe. Her hat of Burgundy completed a smart ensemble.
