CHRIST'S COLLEGE.

OFFICE OF BURSAR VACANT. Mr. E. R. Webb will retire in July from the olik-e of bursar of Christ's College, Christehureh, and by an advertisement in this issue the college is inviting applications for the position. The office of bursar is one of the oldest in Christehureh, the first appointment having been made in lSo.'i—the first town clerk of Christehureh was appointed in 1802.

Until IS9-4 various members of the board of governors held the position of biiivar. assisted from ISTj by a business agent, but in 1594 the late Mr. W. Guise lirittan, an old boy of the school who had been business agent, was appointed as bursar and held office until his death in 1016, when he was succeeded by Mr. Webb, also an old boy.
