Mr. Reg. M. Barker will leave for Wellington by train to-night. Mr. G. Grey Campbell and Mr. H. G. Cousins have been reappointed to the Auckland University College Council by the Governor-General. Mr. E. Hirsclifield. of Wellington, Xew Zealand representative for the Foreign Trade Institute of Palestine, is paying his first visit to Auckland. The Rev. R. Preston, formerly a prominent Methodist evangelist, now living in retirement in Sydney, who is paving a holiday visit to the Dominion, "left for Rotorua to-day. Mr. Stronach Paterson. of Wellington, will retire from the position of managing director of A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, 011 March 31, but will continue to act as a member of the board of directors. Messrs. C. F. Blancliard and R. S. C. Galbraith have been admitted as barristers of the Supreme Court of New Zealand by Mr. Justice Callan on the motion of Mr. Spencer Mason and Mr. L. J. Drum 111 oik! respectively.
Mr. C. A. Capamagian, vice-president of the Xew Zealand Box Makers' Association, is visiting Wellington in connection with matters relating to the industrv.
