FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. Tha Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star** this sflsmoon tha following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Gradually frtahenint winda from a north easterly quarter, probably rising to gale force by Wedneeday evening. Weather, fair to cloudy at first, but with heavy rain developing from the north. Mild temperatures. Seas, slight to modsrate, but riaing rapidly on the eaat coast to-morrow. A tropical cyclone centred near Noumea ia expected to move in a southerly or south-easterly direction. MAURAKI CULT CONDITIONS. Tha following report of weather conditions in ths Hauraki Gulf was recrivcd from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, calm; ssa, smooth; weather, fine but cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
