SIX RACES DECIDED. SOUTH ISLANDERS WIN TWICE. (By Teleigraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Thursday. As Wanganui has two wins, Auckland two, Wellington, Chrlstchurch and Otago one each, the Corn well Cup contest is still very open. Two races were held to-day, the morning one being won by Christchurch and the afternoon event by Otago.

The afternoon race was most unusual, I.yltelton being well in the lead during the second round when the wind changed from northerly to southerly and brought the tail-enders right up to the leaders. Lyttelton lost the lead beating back to the finishing line and gained only third place, equal with Wanganui. Auckland was second.

DISQUALIFIED ! WELLINGTON IN IDLE ALONG. (By Telegraph.-—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Wellington lost the New Zealand Idle Along championship because of a technical error in the resail against Canterbury yesterday afternoon. Wellington was first across the line by -in UOm, but failed to give way to Canterbury when rounding Fraser Kuck the first time. No protest was entered by the Canterbury crew, but the judges on the 1.-tuiieh saw Canterbury's mainsail strike the Wellington mainsail as the two boats rounded the cnark together, and after a long discussion the sailing committee for the contest disqualified the Wellington boat. MANUKAU CRUISING CLUB. The Manukau Cruising Club will hold a general handicap race to Blockhouse Bay to-morrow, starting at 'i. 30 p.m. over the No. 2 course. The event has been promoted by the residents of Blockhouse Bay and a cup and miniature have been presented to the club for annual competition. A harbour race will also be held for the iL class over the No. 'Z course, starting at 2.4."> p.m. Handicaps are as follow :—-
