INCOME TAX PAYMENTS.
FIFTY PER CENT INCREASE. (Received 1 p.m.) RUGBY, January 17. Income taxpayers last week contributed £32.322,000 to revenue. In the corresponding week of last year the total was £19,.>51,000. The total ordinary revenue for the week showed ft surplus of £37,289,000 over the week's expenditure, reducing the deficit to date to £280,247,000. Ordinary revenue for the financial year to date totals £632,697,000, while the ordinary expenditure amounts to £912,944,000. The total expenditure from loan account stands at £362,662,000.
