For Finns.
EFFORTS FOR PEACE. (IJccrivetl 1 t'-n>) STOCKHOLM, January 11. Kiuji (iustav, at the opening of Parliament, said that Sweden would give Finland all possible material and humanitarian help in collaboration with neutrals, for it was essential to defend common interests.
"I hope that it will be an equally strong service to general peace," he said. "I am ready to contribute to the efforts to re-establish peace."
•Swedish workmen have volunteered to serve ill Finnish factories in place of I'inns who have l>een called tip fur service. Between 3000 and 4000 Danish homes have agreed to take in Finnish refugees.
The British National Council of Lab our. in response to an invitation, is sending Sir Walter Citrine, Mr. Noel Baker and Mr. John Downie to examine the situation in Finland. They will also make contact with thfe Labour nioVemcnts in Scandinavia.
