LONDON, January 11
A communique issued in Helsinki says the Russian attacks on Petsaino and Bailtt. Were repulsed. The Russians bombed the Giilf of Finland Coast, injuring six Women.
Aii eaflief Finnish communique said: "The Russians are strengthening their defences on the Karelian Isthmus. dispersed a battalion, killing 200 men and capturing 40, at Ruhtinaaki, northeast of Lake Ladoga. Ottl* troops are advancing on Raate and have cleared the area to the frontier from Suomuesalmi.
"Enemy aeroplanes carried out minor unsuccessful raids on coastal objective?. Finnish forts on Lake Ladoga and at Koivisto participated in the laud operations."
A message from Moscow says Air Commissar Kakaliovltch has been transferred to ait unspecified post and is replaced by Commissar ShakliUrln.
The Moscow Press says Soviet Burgeon* have foitnd new methods of treating wounds received in the Russo-Fin-nish war. Chemically treated skin from the bodies of men recently killed is grafted on to wounded men/ !t relieves the pain within three hours and heals in 13 days.
Also claimed are extraordinary successes achieved by the transfusion of blood frotn the dead.
