HELP FROM CYPRUS.
CONTINGENT IN FRANCE.
RUGBY, January 10.
Dispatches from France yesterday announce the arrival there of the first colonial troops, these being transport units from Cyprus. The contingent was enlisted in the early days of the. war and its departure from the colony two months ago was accompanied by scenes of great enthusiasm. The last two months have been spent in intensive training. It is believed that this is the first occasion on which troops from Cyprus and Britain have: been associated.
