SERVICE RIBBONS.
It is very noticeable that amongst tK various uniformed classes of public servants in Auckland the employees of the Auckland Transport Board appe* r to be the only ones who do not weir their Great War service ribbons. M those are commonly seen on the tunics of traffic and ]>olice officers, perhaps one of your readers could enlighten me of the reason they are not worn by tic motormen. conductors and inspectors o" the tramcars. As many of these ™ en must be in possession of their ribbons it would appear that the wearing °' them is not encouraged bv the l»oard. " CURIOUS.
rAuckland Transport Board employees are entitled to wear service ribbons 011 their uniforms, but it. is a matter f° r the employees fo decide for themselves. It is a practice that is encouraged the management.—Ed.]
