SANDY POWELL AGAIN.
IN STRAND'S NEW FILM. Lancashire, which has provided the British world with so many outstanding comedians, claims Sandy Powell as a son of the county. Sandy's latest film 'Some From Home," is due for Auckland release to-morrow at the Strand Theatre. Rotund and genial, pleasant in voice and amusing in action, Powell will provide a high spot in the city's holiday entertainment. In "Home From Home" he sings a number of catchy new melodies which may easily become the first "hits" of the New Year in New Zealand. With "Home From Home" the Strand 13 presenting "Tropic Fury," a rousing melodrama in which Richard Arlen and the gravel-voiced Andy Devine are featured. To-night will see the final presentation of the dual bill which has been showing over Christmas—"The Family . P.°_ or J Hugh Herbert, and V> i oide of Heaven," an amusing Bing Lrosby musical romance.
