THOROUGHBRED SALE.

SEVERAL HORSES SOLD.

A sale of thoroughbreds was held at the Showgrounds, Epsom, by Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Company, Xitdl, yesterday afternoon. Several horses belonging to the estate of the late Mr. M. Steinberg were offered, but the reserve was not reached in most cases. Konneta was passed at 435gns, Fidelis at 210gns, and Mimax at 200gns, while Wapaugh. was purchased by Mrs.x Morris, Auckland, for 125gns. Other sales were:— On account of Mr. A. J. Court and partner: Four-year-old gelding Brazilian, Mr. J. R. May, Mount Albert, 50gns. Four-year-old gelding Milanion, Mr. N". Austin, Papatoetoe. 102%gns. Five-year-old gelding Silver Glow, Mr. J. Keatley, Hukerenui, 50gns. On account of Mr. J. C. Edmunds: — Six-year-old gelding Gold Petal, Mr. L. Roberts, Te Puke, 31gns. A yearling colt 'by Foxbridge from Golden Princess, submitted on account of Mr. H. D. Matthews, Hamilton, was passed in at 18ogns. A yearling filly by Lysander from Cometary from the same vendor was passed in at 160gns.
