AIR BASE CONCERT.

PARTS' FROM ATTCKLAXD. The men at the Hobsonville air base were treated to a fine entertainment when Mrs. Harold Owers' concert group, under the auspices of the Metropolitan Patriotic Entertainment Sub-Com-mittee, visited them. Soogß were given by Mrs. Harold Owers, Mrs. Constance Manning, Messrs. Robert Simmers, Gordon Fagan and John Farrell. while instrumental numbers were rendered by Mrs. Owers, Mrs. Farrell. Mrs. John Manning, Mrs. Reg. Reed, Mrs. Eileen Jfolan and Miss Pauline Munro. Mr. Alan McElwain was heard in humorous items, and community singing was also enjoyed. Ladies of the Auckland Lyceum Club prepared supper, and dancing was held after the musical items. Two buses travelled to the base, and the party included members of the Victoria. League.
