SPECIAL FORCE.

Despite the recent assurances of several Government members of Parliament that voluntary recruiting is quite satisfactory, it is perfectly obvious to the majority of people in this country that such is not th 6 case. The incentive for any man of military age to enlist, if he wants to, is here. From this country troops are going overseas, and are to be led by Major-General Frevberg, a fine soldier and military tactician. Despite these facts, the enlistments are not ibeing secured. Unless the Government is prepared to bring in conscription at once, so that the lads in camp will feel that they have the country behind them, it is not a fair thing to send them overseas.
