LATE E. J. HOWARD. LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT. ESTATE VALUED AT £3300. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The estate of the late Mr. Edwin John Howard, former Labour member for Christchurch South, and Chairman of Committees in the House of Representntives, has been sworn for probate ai under £3307. Mr. Howard died last April, and the will, in his own handwriting, is dated June 23, 1935. It makes a number of small bequests to relatives and friends, the substantial amount of the estate being left equally to Mr. Howard's daughters, Miss Mabel Howard and Mrs. Elsie Lamonfe.

In an introductory paragraph very] characteristic of Mr. Howard's method of expression he wrote: "Having had a couple of warnings, or so the doctors say, I desire to put my house in order I ready to leave should the gentleman I with the scythe come suddenly. This, then, is my last will and testament."
