SALVATION ARMY.
Several prominent Salvation Army visitors were welcomed nt the Congress Hull last evening, including Commissioner W. R. Dalziel, in charge of the eastern Australian territory, and Commissioner R. Henry, in charge of the southern Australian territory, who are returning after attending the meeting of the Salvation Army High Council in London, at which the new General, General G. L. Carpenter, was elected. Lieutenant-Colonel (i. Grattan presided. Addresses were given by both visitors and later Dr. and Mrs. B. Cook, who have arrived, on furlough after several years in the mission field in India, gave accounts of their work. Dr. Cook is medical superintendent of the Salvation Army Hospital at Anand.
