STATE TO FIX MAXIMUM. United Press Association.—Copyright. (Reroivrd I.'JO p.m.) PARIS. September 15. Government measures to eheek profiteering provide that profits above a specified maximum of firms engaged in national defence shall go to the State. The has not yet been announced, hut will vary for different industries. However, it will not apply to export firms.
\\ lien profits exceed the normal return from the capital involved, a war tax is applied on a rising scale, reaching 100 per cent above a fixed maximum.
