Mr. Jame.-. Fletcher returned from Wellington by the Limited express tliio morning.
Mr. J. Guiniven, Mayor of Takapuna, returned by the early express from Wellington this morning.
Mr. J. R. Cade, chief draughtsman and secretary to the Xn. ti Highways Board, lias retired from the service after 42 years. 38 of which were spent in the Wanganui district.
The Rev. J. E. Penman, of Edinburgh, lias left Dunedin on his return to Scotland, after officiating at Knox Church, Dunedin. during the absence of the Rev. D. ('. Herron.
The Rev. L. A. Xorth, for the past year general secretary .of the Xew Zealand Baptist Union.- lias been appointed minister of the Vivian Street Baptist ( luiroli, Wellington. Mr. North was formerly in Climtchureh.
