British Parliament May Take
Week's Recess.
NATIONAL REGISTER BILL.

Mr. Chamberlain, in the House of Commons, announced that he would ask on Thursday that Parliament adjourn until September 13 unless special circumstances necessitate its recall.
Parliament lias completed passage of a bill requiring all persons in Britain to register for national service.
The House of Lords has also ]>a«sed the Xational Registration Bill. The Control of Employment Bill just published empowers the Minister of Labour to order employers not to engage or reengage employees without the Minister's consent.
