FIJI OPERATIONS.

Emperor.—A total of 420 ft of development work was completed. Values continue to be erratic in the north end of the No. 3 level. Values averaging 3dwt to odwt disclosed in the north hangingwall drive on Xo. 4 level. Drive will be continued to connect with the two compartment shaft being sunk from the Xo. 3 level. The ltes:ent winze continued 2<if t. and now totals 110 ft from the No. 1 level. The shear continues strong, and the lode formation is mtrcli similar to that of I.oloma. Average assay value for this advance is 24dwt. with an average width of <>oin. A total of lioirt of churn drilling was completed along the north end of the Cardigan main lode. Four of the drill holes disclosed a flat make at approximately Sott from surface carrying values averaging l.'irtwt over loft.

I.oloma.—l'ody shaft, intermediate north drive from. No. 3 shaft extended from 177 ft to 10(»ft in values averaging under ldwt. No. ." rise at IKMtft south extended to 70ft in shear. Average value last 32ft under ldwt. Regent bule : The winze now Ixdng sunk by the Emperor Company near the I.oloma boundary has disclosed values of approximately loz per ton over a width of OOin for a depth of 100 ft.
